Students Score Limo Hire

As a parent or a teacher, you are probably always looking for new ways to encourage, motivate and reward your students to help them achieve their best. For Japera Hodges, a teacher at Wittner Elementary, she knew her students were excellent achievers and her main challenge was finding a fitting celebratory reward.

The 65 students, who received the highest scores on their FCATs (Florida Comprehensive Assessment Test), were treated to a limousine ride and lunch out, as part of the celebrations and rewards for their efforts. While the lucky students had previously worked hard to achieve these incredible results, they had of course never ridden in a limousine before and now their hard work and sacrifices paid off. The limo ride was also a special treat for Ms Hodges as many of her students attributed their success to her teaching and her dedication.

We have all had teachers who make learning fun and interesting and make sure that we understand what we should be doing, rather than skimming over their students so they can get to lunch. These teachers should be rewarded as much as their students and hopefully the kids allowed Ms Hodges a ride and a bite to eat in their stretch Hummer too.

It was also important for the students to realise that their hard work was not all just for the sake of hard work and that as well as their impressive scores on the FCAT, there was also a special treat waiting for them too.
